Sticks and Stones

Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me.

Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me.

Words never hurt me.

They desert me, divert me, convert me, disconcert me.

They haunt me, taunt me, embarrassingly flaunt me.

They mold me, control me, oppress and hold me.

They  bruise me, use me, batter, and abuse me.

They betray me, dismay me, decay and delay me.

They down me, clown me, submerge and drown me.

They shield me, conceal me, hide the real me.

Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can sometimes hurt me.
